In light of the U.S. presidential election and the issues involved, the personal stories of the people behind the issues are easily overlooked. This is the story of one family and the impact the Iraq war has had, and continues to have, on them.
This was a GREAT video! I really enjoyed the “storytelling” component of this. The editing choices you made were intuitive and natural.
This was an example where your interview subjects were really able to lead the viewer through the story without an outside narrator.
It was clear that you had some good material to work with so I was not distracted by your production edit choices (with the exception of the closing close-up shot of the shoes – which seemed a bit odd to me).
